Lone Star Cavy Club

The Lone Star Cavy Club promotes the cavy fancy in the state of Texas and beyond.

Cavies (guinea pigs) make excellent pets and companions,

but are also fascinating to breed for competition. 

With 13 distinct breeds and a vast array of varieties in every breed,

there is a type of cavy for everyone to love!

What We Do

Lone Star Cavy Club has been instrumental in educating and encouraging responsible cavy ownership, care, breeding and showing here in the Lone Star state for many decades. We partner with state, regional, and national rabbit clubs to provide multiple show opportunities throughout the year, as well as being affiliated  with the American Cavy Breeders Association and American Rabbit Breeders Association. We promote a number of youth activities, sponsoring youth shows, showmanship, contests and fun classes as well as participating with 4H clubs.
